10 Doctor Who Revival Era Monsters And Villains That Deserve To Return
7. The Tricksters Brigade
Another recurring villain, or more accurately trope, from the Russell T. Davies era was the tricksters brigade, who appeared in various forms in Doctor Who and its spin offs.
Although we know that these various beings change timelines and feed of the energy that this creates, we don’t know why, or how they came to be, or why they’re apparently part of a gang.
The best example of when this was done was the season 4 episode, Turn Left, where Donna never meets the Doctor, and this causes the next few years to become very dark indeed. Doctor Who loves to make an alternate reality to the one it usually inhabits, being it the parallel universe Rose ended up moving too, or the Monks world more recently.
It would be interesting if we got another one of these episodes, but perhaps set in a more limited time span. Perhaps the Doctor and her Companies are trapped in groundhog day like scenario with a member of the tricksters brigade constantly making them change their minds, and they have to escape this trap. Kinda like Turn Left meets Amy’s Choice.
