10 Doctor Who Revival Era Monsters And Villains That Deserve To Return

The episodes name; ’The Revenge of the Sycorax’, sounds interesting right? The villain from Tennant’s first outing would make a great return threat. They had a very interesting culture and ascetic; they’re a space faring race that respects the rights of trial by combat.

It follows that such a race wouldn’t take to then being betrayed on their holding up of their end bargain by leaving. The leader of the Sycorax states he could summon the armada and take the planet by force, so let's see that.

The audience hasn't had a large scale modern day alien invasion story in Doctor Who for some time now, and the Sycorax could actually make a compelling antagonist for this, being not as indestructible as the Daleks or Cybermen could lead to an interesting war between humanity and the Sycorax.

Perhaps this leads to the human race actually getting the upper hand, and the Doctor has to intervene and stop humanity going too far again and murdering even more Sycorax.

Give the audience a two parter, ‘The Revenge of the Sycorax’ and ‘The Fall of the Sycorax’ set on contemporary earth and you’re on to something.

I read, I write, I re-watch Doctor Who. Recent masters graduate trying to make his way in the world by writing about the things he likes. Impossibly naive, perhaps.
