10 Doctor Who Spin Offs That Are Just Waiting To Happen
10. Dark Lord Of All
Although he's only appeared in one episode to date and didn't really get to speak all that much in it (that was to do with his age, more than anything), Alfie Owens has still managed to become one of the unsung heroes of the revived series of Doctor Who. Alfie was the son of the Doctor's friends Craig and Sophie and he proved himself to be a pretty formidable force during the Eleventh Doctor's encounter with the Cybermen in Series 6's Closing Time. All he had to do was cry and the Cybermen were taught how to love again (although it was a bit more sciency-wicency than that) and thus the entire human race was saved from its untimely destruction. Not too shabby for someone who's only knee-high to a grasshopper! The Doctor formed a particularly special bond with Alfie when a night of babysitting escalated into a full blown Cyber-attack and the Time Lord's ability to talk 'baby' also allowed him to inform Craig that his child actually preferred to be referred to as 'Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All'. It's got a ring to it, hasn it? You could even say that the Doctor's responsible for Alfie's birth (no, not in that way...) after the Time Lord brought his parents together at the end of their original appearance in Series 5. While they would've inevitably got together eventually anyway, he certainly gave them a nudge in the right direction, at least. As such, it's nice to think that the Doctor has imprinted an appetite for adventure on little Alfie's brain and hopefully he'll grow up to become an Earth Defender in his own right, or maybe even an astronaut. Whatever the future holds for Alfie, let's hope it's documented in his very own spin off series. Stormageddon: Dark Lord Of All - (not) coming soon to a small screen near you...
