There was a lot the people of the 31st century had to deal with that we don’t today, 1000 years earlier. The likes of giant cockroaches, New New York’s owl infestation, and general alien invasions are hopefully many, many years away. One thing that we in the here and now do share with those 1000 years in the future is scammers.

Untrustworthy folk online tricking the innocent out of important things like bank account numbers, mother’s maiden names, and entire companies. This is what Nudar and his associates did to planet Earth. It seems that every single person on the planet fell for their scams, and they weren’t even believable.

The Professor literally signed his own company away because he thought he won $400 on the Spanish national lottery, something for which he didn’t even buy a ticket. Fast forward to when the scammers had taken over far more of Earth than just Planet Express, Richard Nixon signed them all of Earth’s money, once again falling for a scam that surely everybody would have been on the lookout for by now.

He stupidly bankrupted the entire planet, and forced the population to flee to Neptune, something that could have gotten them all killed by Robot Santa. Had the Professor listened to his own advice about online scams, none of this ever would have happened.
