10 Dumbest Things That Have Ever Happened In Doctor Who
9. There's This Thing Called A Timelash...
Life on the planet Karfel was a living nightmare. Ruled over by a tyrannical and deformed dictator, its populace were never more than five minutes from an arrest or execution. The worst punishment of all formed the title of this Colin Baker howler - the Timelash being the ultimate mystery destination. Hurled along its corridor, you could end up anywhere in time and space! Wells in the scenic beauty of late Victorian Scotland. So in a sense you'd want to be put in the Timelash, if only to escape the drudgery of everyday existence. A fundamental lack of tension made the key plot device no more threatening than knocking about an airport for discount plane tickets. What were the odds you were going to arrive somewhere terrible anyway? Something tells us mastermind The Borad hadn't really thought this one through.
