10 Dumbest Villain Plans In TV Shows

2. Killing Ned Stark - Joffrey Baratheon (Game Of Thrones)

In his brief time on the Iron Throne (and on this Earth), Joffrey Baratheon caused a whole lot of trouble.

The blonde-haired brat succeeded his "father" Robert as King of Westeros and immediately began flexing his power like the spoilt rich kid he was. The apex of his hubris came when he sanctioned the execution of Ned Stark.

Neddy boy had been stirring up his own brand of trouble when he discovered that Joffrey was actually the incestuous result of a relationship between Cersei and Jaime Lannister. Stark publicly rescinded his claims that the King was illegitimate in a bargain for his life.

And then Joffrey had his head chopped off anyway.

This one act caused an unbelievable amount of carnage. All it served to do was galvanise Joffrey's enemies and eliminate the one negotiating tool they had over Ned's son Robb.

What's more, everyone told Joffrey that this was a bad idea. Literally everyone!

But did the smug little git listen? Like hell he did!

Whilst there were certainly more powerful people in Game of Thrones, Joffrey was one of the most dangerous because of his complete and utter refusal to follow any sort of logic.
