10 Even MORE Times Doctor Who Appeared In Other TV Shows

9. Better Off Ted

You'd have to be a very dedicated TV fan to have even heard of US sitcom Better Off Ted, let alone seen a single a second of it.

The show, which stars Jay Harrington as an employee of a mega-corporation with nefarious intentions, ran for just two seasons before low ratings saw its plug get pulled. However, it was able to spare some of its limited airtime to promote everyone's favourite quirky British sci-fi show.

How nice of them.

In the episode The Great Repression from the show's second season, which is a satirical take on cancel culture and sexual harassment, Ted is shown working in his lab with a very familiar machine lurking in the background. It's a Dalek - one from Series 1 to 4 of the revived show, to be specific.

These designs were just about to get revamped, so they clearly got them on the cheap.

The Dalek doesn't make a massive impact on the plot or anything, it's just there to show that the company Ted works for are so evil that they would have an intergalatic killing machine just lying around their offices.
