5. The Johnsons (My Parents Are Aliens)
My Parents Are Aliens was a British children's sitcom which aired on CITV from the 8th November 1999 to the 18th December 2006. The show focused on the lives of three orphaned children - Mel, Josh and Lucy Barker (they changed later on, but they were the most memorable and the original) - and their new foster parents Brian and Sophie Johnson. The trio soon discover that the Johnsons are in fact aliens who come from the planet Valux and who crash-landed on Earth when Brian was messing around with the controls in their spaceship. The house they live in is, in actual fact, a morphed form of that very spaceship. Brian, whilst intelligent, is very childlike while Sophie is not quite as intelligent, but has slightly more common sense. They are both able to shapeshift, though Brian sometimes does so involuntarily when he eats ice cream - which he is allergic to - and it makes him grow moose horns. They're both very caring and pleasant enough, however.
