10 False Doctor Who Facts You Probably Believe

Okay, now this entry is a tad silly... But if you've seen the first regeneration story, the Tenth Planet, then you may think this is true, because technically it was.

In 1966, when William Hartnell regenerated into Patrick Troughton's incarnation, a little more than his physical appearance changed. The First Doctor's outfit miraculously changed into Troughton's Second Doctor's clothes. However, this has since never happened again.

Another, possible, reason one may believe this fact is down to the fact audiences first glances of the new Doctor can come with the Doctor wearing their new outfit to be used as part of publicity.

While each Doctor has their own iconic look, it is now almost a staple of the show to see the new incarnation of the Doctor fumble around in their predecessor's clothing. And turns out the Tenth Planet incident is more likely a production error.
