4. Rainbow Brite's Lurky Is A Deformed Sprite

Rainbow Brite was about a girl named Wisp, who was transported to a colourless land in order to bring colour to it. As she embarks on her journey, she encounters a number of furry little creatures called Sprites who love colour and mine Colour Crystals from the Colour Caves.

The villain of the series is a man called Murky Dismal and he aims to keep things dank, dark and colour-free in the world. He has a bumbling assistant called Lurky - and a fan theory suggests that Lurky is simply a deformed Sprite.

Lurky does have the same basic appearance as a Sprite in terms of his body shape, his furriness and his antennae, but he is simply bigger and less colourful than they are. The theory states that his large size, big nose and lack of stars on the ends of his antennae could be from some kind of mutation.

There is also the fact that he is often fascinated by bright colours and he sometimes lets out hints of being happy - something that really shouldn't happen given his alignment - a trait that is very prevalent in Sprites.
