10 Films From 2013 That Would Make Great TV Shows

1. The Conjuring

Real life paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren were involved in investigating high profile cases like Amityville Horror, the haunting of Perron's Rhode Island home (which The Conjuring is based around) and The Haunting in Connecticut, and their experiences could be boosted out into a Tv show format. With Supernatural spiralling downwards and the supernatural element of Sleepy Hollow gaining a huge following a show that follows two paranormal investigators could be a hit. Vera Farmiga is brilliant as Lorraine and after her work in the underrated Bates Motel would be perfect to bring the character to the small screen alongside Patrick Wilson (recently seen on TV in Girls). The ode to other movies in The Conjuring works even better on TV and the scares here are real. While the Warrens were real life people (much like Master Of Sex' Dr. William Masters and Virginia Johnson) so the cases dealt with on the show could be a mix of their real life investigations and fictional ones. Another thread of the show could be the questioning of the truth behind the couples work, various people have claimed their cases were invented by home owners with personal issues. Embracing the 1971 setting a kick ass soundtrack and a wardrobe of ridiculously retro clothing can add charm. What do you think of these spin-off ideas?
