3. Everyone (Dads)
There's really not much to say here. The four leads on Dads all fail to deliver either comedy or fun to an outright offensive script. It's sad because Seth Green has proven to be a strong asset for laughs through both Family Guy and Robot Chicken. For whatever reason, however, he brings nothing noteworthy to his role as Eli in this sitcom. Warner, played by Giovanni Ribisi, doesn't fare much better, and I actually preferred his dry character in Public Enemies over this. Worse, I was sad to see the writers make such poor use out of the older "dads," Martin Mull and Peter Reigert (I'm having Richie Rich flashbacks of tears). Instead of setting these characters up as layered individuals with interesting backstories and (dare I say it) heart, Dads positions great actors as caricatures, and you can tell that no one is having fun onscreen. After watching just a few episodes, it was difficult to even recall some of the major plot elements because I haven't touched on how poorly written their spouses are...
