10 Funniest South Park Characters Ever

6. Kenny McCormick

The first of the original four boys featuring on our list that made South Park the household brand that it has been for decades is none other than Kenny McCormick. A sweet-natured, impoverished young boy who has a heart of gold but a mind of dirt, alongside a personality that's yet to fully flourish as most of his communication comes in the form of muffled conversation courtesy of his restrictive hood that's afflicted him for so many years.

Outside of his seemingly never-ending showreel of creative deaths, which was originally the characters only purpose and therefore only real source of comedic potential, he's since been retired in that regard and while he doesn't necessarily have a vast variety of plotlines built around him, the creators have managed to reinvent the character in some gut-busting ways.

The meta-joke of him playing a superhero that simply cannot die is a stroke of pure genius that gave his ability some well-needed context. His unfortunate circumstance of being born to a family of meth head, white trash drunks also gives him some backstory, and some of his most veraciously funny moments.

It's ironic that he's one of the funniest characters on the show and we haven't even heard him speak - in the voice of Beavis and Butthead creator Mike Judge - since 1999.
