9. Robb Starks Wife Is Charlie Chaplin's Granddaughter
You remember Talisa Maegyr, the nurse Robb Stark fatally married in Season 3? Well, if you payed attention to the credits and saw the actress name, it may have given you some pause. No, thats no coincidence Oona Chaplin is the granddaughter of none other than silent movie superstar Charlie Chaplin! It should come as no surprise then that shes also a flamenco dancer and a ballerina, who had a flare for impersonating her granddad when she was 15 years old. Adding to the talented gene pool, Oona is the daughter of actress Geraldine Chaplin and great granddaughter of Nobel laureate Eugene ONeil who famously disowned his daughter, also named Oona, when she was 18 years old after she married a 53-year-old Charlie Chaplin. While most of us will now remember Oona for her portrayal as Robb Starks wife, and her character's fate which made the television version of The Red Wedding ten times more horrific than in the books, her family tree is no less fascinating. Now if only we knew what Charlie Chaplin would have thought of Game Of Thrones...
