10 Geek Secrets The Big Bang Theory Made Famous

7. MMORPGs

If you don€™t know what MMORPGs stands for, you€™ve probably not watched enough of The Big Bang Theory. Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games have been around for a good couple of decades, and MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) games before them. Essentially, you€™re playing an RPG-style video game, through a decent online connection, with other players across the world. You log into the game€™s server, which is running the game constantly, using your own software, purchased like a video game. Different games have different rules, architecture and protocols to follow, but the gist is very similar. The most famous of these games, at present, is World Of Warcraft, which is its own industry. Geeks have fought and killed each other over these games. We mean that literally. Season one€™s €˜The Fuzzy Boot Corollary€™ is the show€™s first instance of the guys playing a MMORPG, with World Of Warcraft getting an outing, while season two gives us Penny, of all people, becoming genuinely addicted to Age Of Conan in €˜The Barbarian Sublimation€™. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMpPaL_Xz2M
