Summer Glau belongs to the geeks, and the geeks belong to her. Almost no other actress has appeared in so many sci-fi and fantasy shows, and almost nothing else. Her first ever acting gig was in an episode of Angel, and the role that made her career was playing the lethal but damaged and childlike River Tam in Firefly and Serenity. She grew up with Joss Whedon shows, as did the geeks that watched them. Glaus most famous role aside from in the Whedonverse was as the titular cyborg assassin in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the role she was playing when she guest starred in The Big Bang Theorys second season episode, The Terminator Decoupling. Only 33 years old, and fresh from a good arc playing villain Isabel Rochev in the hit superhero show Arrow, Summer Glau still feels like she belongs to the geeks.
