10 Geek Secrets The Big Bang Theory Made Famous

4. Sindarin (Elvish)

While Lord Of The Rings has been a very mainstream interest since The Fellowship Of The Ring was released in cinemas in December 2001, aspects of Tolkien€™s original books that didn€™t quite make it to the big screen have remained cult interests. Things like the book The Silmarillion (the Old Testament to the Lord Of The Rings€™ New), Tom Bombadil, the ancient creature that sings a great deal and was snipped out of the movie adaptation€ and the two languages that Elves speak, invented by linguist Tolkien specifically for the books. Sindarin is the form that Elven creatures speak in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy itself, and in The Big Bang Theory, Howard is enough of a Tolkien nut that he€™s learned a fair few words of Elven, just as he€™s learned a degree of the equally fictitious Klingon language. So, if you€™re a Howard fan and you€™re ever curious as to how to learn a little Elvish yourself€ not to worry. There are courses online that can help you out.
