Is it just us or does it only feel like 5 minutes since the Eleventh Doctor arrived?! Cut to 2013, though, and Matt Smith's Fez wearing incarnation of everybody's favourite Time Lord faced his final curtain call in The Time of the Doctor after an epic 4 year tenure which had defied the realms of time and space itself. Narratively speaking, of course. It looks like time really does fly when you're having fun and, as the Doctor responsible for catapulting the series into new levels of uncharted global success (especially in the US, where the premiere of his final episode broke ratings records on BBC America!), Matt Smith had also helmed the show's far reaching 50th anniversary festivities and was generally cited as the man who had single handedly made bow ties cool. Not too shabby for a man who most people had written off before he'd even appeared on screen. Good on you, mate! All good things must come to an end, though, and the Eleventh Doctor's final words basically summed up what everyone was thinking. We'll never forget when the Doctor was you, Matt!
