10 Gore Anime That Will Give You Nightmares

Humanity cannot be trusted, which is why world peace and unity seems like a pipedream. That is easily the sentiment behind this short series, as it explores the depth of human greed, corruption and thirst for power. Alongside these grand concepts, it also delivers a tremendous amount of body horror, thanks to the bio-technical imagery and abhorrent violence levels.

Genocyber takes places in a hypothetical future, where all the world's nations are set to merge and finally live in unity. However, this world peace is threatened by corporations like The Kuryu Group, who seek to use this vacuum as a chance to seize power. To do so, they try to manipulate a psychic, cybernetic weapon known as the Genocyber.

As you can expect from such a description, controlling this abomination is not as easy as the corporation believes, and this charming cyberpunk future is thrust into a whirlwind of blood, guts and pain.

Some of the deaths in this series are outlandishly horrific, such as the gif seen above. But spines being torn out of someone's face isn't the end of this horror, as there's decapitations, torture, and a whole host of organs that should remain on the inside, being spilt.
