6. The Lizard-Tongued Simpsons (The Simpsons)
In The Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horror V", in one of the three short stories that are presented, Homer accidentally turns a toaster in to a time machine whilst trying to fix it. It transports him to prehistoric times where he realizes that he must be careful because, if he affects anything in the past, it could change the future. After various incidents which result in the future being changed (and Homer's family and the world they live in being very different as a result), Homer finally settles in a reality where everything seems to be exactly the same - apart from the fact that Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie all eat using lizard-like tongues. Homer comments that it's "close enough" and gets on with his life.
