There was a time when finding new horror shows was a real chore. However, that's far from the case these days. Not only can you find tales of terror on the good old boob-tube, but there are also countless shows running on streaming networks wholly dedicated to the genre. While an extraordinary leap for horror fans, the surplus of options isn't always a good thing.

Stephen King made his screenwriting debut back in 1982 when he developed Creepshow, a series of five independent horror-comedy short stories contained within a feature-length film. It quickly became a cult classic after its release, so much so it was eventually spun into a horror anthology for the Shudder streaming network in 2019.

Drawing inspiration from vintage horror comic books such as The Vault of Horror and Tales from the Crypt, each episode of Creepshow begins with a host named The Creep segueing into two gruesome tales a la Crypt Keeper. If you were into the original Creepshow, you're certainly going to enjoy the TV series, as it's a continuation of the 1982 film.

It's easy to lose track of time as you burn through the terrifying yet digestible tales. Although most of the episodes are likely to capture your attention, the fact that Creepshow is an anthology makes it possible to move past the stories you don't like and onto the ones you do. No one rotten episode will ruin the entire bunch. Lastly, Creepshow only has 14 episodes (as of the time of this writing), so it's not too challenging to binge-watch both seasons without leaving the couch.
