10 Great TV Shows Starring The Cast Of Friends
7. Web Therapy
Prior to Friends, Lisa Kudrow had accrued by far the most comedy experience, with a stint in influential comedy troupe The Groundlings and significant sitcom work under her belt. As such, her career has remained more comedy-focussed than the rest of the cast, and for the most part with significant success.
Web Therapy was a project Kudrow created and starred in for several years and in various iterations. She plays therapist Fiona Wallice, wh0 conducts brief, concentrated sessions of her own devising via Skype. This gives Kudrow the opportunity to bounce off a wide selection of guest stars, including many of her former NBC colleagues.
As Wallice, Kudrow is dynamite. She taps into a darkness and often nasty streak that was missing from the cartoonish Phoebe Buffay, playing a self obsessed therapist far more absorbed with furthering her own interests than she is healing others.
The show started off in a bitesized online form before moving to Showtime for four seasons of standard length. Here Kudrow was able to take the character even further, with Fiona evolving over time. It’s a great role that stems from the many years of graft put in.
