This changed when Roy and co. visited an old alchemy research facilities, hoping to find some clues regarding the recent events.

Not willing to let their secret unravel, Lust attacks the intruders. Mustang takes her on in a grueling battle. Unfortunately for Roy, her near infinite vitality makes his defeat inevitable. In the end, she holds her own against his flames, before impaling the Colonel with her deadly spikes.

However, as it turned out, this was only round one. Sometime later, when Lust is about to kill Riza and Alphonse, the Flame Alchemist makes a stunning back. With renewed determination and a vicious mean streak, he proceeds to burn Lust to a crisp. Such was the relentlessness of his attack, it outstripped the Homunculus’s regenerative ability, destroying her body faster than she could heal it.
