You know how Don Draper is probably one of the most serious characters on television? Any light-hearted, comedic moments on Mad Men aren't coming from him, that's for sure. But Jon Hamm is kind of the polar opposite of that. Despite the fact that he currently stars on one of television's biggest dramas, he has a background in improv, having taught theater for years before moving to Hollywood to pursue acting. So while we may have been exactly a dour businessman to show up on Saturday Night Live, we got a refreshingly goofy Jon Hamm who seemed immediately at home on the set. When it comes to sexy saxophone-playing men who burst out of walls and vaginas with equal measure, he might not have been the man you immediately thought of, but he definitely is now, right? Since his first appearance on the show, he's been popping back to host quite a few times, and looks like he'll be a regular. He's a great fit for the show, with his well-contained brand of lunacy hidden behind a calm, collected exterior.
