Sex And The City's iconic opening titles are all about Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw, but in certain fan circles, it was actually a random background extra who caused the biggest stir.

Right at the end of this sequence, there's an extra stood behind Carrie who absolutely owns the entire shot with his confident strut, ripped physique, bizarre see-through top, and pants that are brighter than the sun.

Though he was only onscreen for a few seconds, this good-looking chap developed quite a fan following, for obvious reasons. Look at the top comments on any popular YouTube upload of this scene, and you're bound to find people commenting on his eye-catching look, while also lamenting the fact that we'll never know who he is.

Whether he chose his own costume or whether it was given to him on the day, See-Through Shirt Guy managed to pull focus away from one of the biggest TV stars in history. Impressive feat!

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
