4. Britta Perry (Community)
She's the perky blonde female lead of an under-watched, critically-appreciated comedy and yet amazingly she's generally picked on, derided and even her name is used as an insult for messing something up. Britta Perry, ladies and gentlemen, gets a lot of derision from both the show's core cast and fans, and rather unneccessarily in my opinion. Britta is picked on for being ultra-enthusiastic about her social causes - everything from eco-forestry to gay rights to basically any kind of social activism that could help further the world. That isn't to say that Britta's aims are entirely altruistic - in previous episodes, Britta has proven to be hypocritical and somewhat selfish but at the heart of all her situations is a good-hearted intention to simply fit in and help the world. Britta really does get the short end of the stick on the show - when her relationship with Troy isn't being accused of taking away from the Troy-and-Abed bromance, she's being criticised for being passionate about causes by the study group and is generally considered a weak, annoying member of the group, even though Gillian Jacobs' performance is a three-dimensional one that gives a flawed and fantastic portrayal of a woman struggling to find her way in the world.
