10 Hidden Family Guy Jokes Everybody Missed

2. Blue Harvest Features Numerous Cameos From Different Shows

Fox

In Family Guy's retelling and parody of the original Star Wars trilogy, the opportunity to play around in a different universe freed up any limits the show may have had for its comedic range and allowed for a broader range of jokes and references to be told. This is probably most evident when a wide range of cameos were seen during the Mos Eisley Cantina scene in Blue Harvest.

If you look carefully during the scene where Chris walks through the bar, you'll notice that a heap of characters from other animated TV shows are drinking away in the background. There's Bender from Futurama, the evil monkey who lives in Chris' closet from Family Guy, Roger from American Dad, and most surprising of them all, Coach John McGuirk from Home Movies.

When you consider how evil, weird and downright odd those aforementioned characters are, it makes sense how some of animated TV's most celebrated freaks and scum would frequent Tatooine's wretched hive of scum and villainy.

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
