Chock full of metaphors about the price of art and power, Brand New Cherry Flavor is steeped in the occult, something which has garnered it some reviews on the bad side thanks to its complicated and obscure nature. Don’t let these dissuade you: the magic in the show feels earned, and, honestly, absolutely disgusting. Seriously, this show is really, really gross, but in a way that visually emphasises the emotional and physical toll the narrative takes on the characters. This thing gets wild.
