7. Ryan Reynolds - Fifteen
Fifteen was an interesting creature. It was one of the early Nickelodeon shows of the 1990s, back when they didn't really have a whole lot of original programming. Half of the stuff kids watched on Nickelodeon in the early 90s was borrowed from Canada, having first run on YTV. Fifteen (known as Hillside in the Great White North) was aimed at kids who were starting to phase out of the cartoon stuff, and centered around all the high school drama that occurred at Hillside School. It relied pretty heavily on generic clique stereotypes, and had more than its share of corniness. Just watch the opening credits on Youtube and you'll see exactly what I mean. Because it was a Canadian production, you can see a lot of young Canadian actors on the show before they were famous. Laura Harris was featured on the show, and later went on to star in The Faculty and Dead Like Me. But Fifteen's best known alum had to be Ryan Reynolds he played Billy Simpson, a freshman who was hopelessly in love with one of his classmates. And I'm kind of ashamed to say this, but I totally squeed when I watched one of the episodes for this article because HE IS SO LITTLE. Anyway, it's not exactly something Reynolds is bragging about having been involved with, but hey, everyone's got to start somewhere.
