10 Horror TV Shows That Would Make Incredible Movies
1. Channel Zero
This film went in the exciting direction of using creepypasta stories that were spread on the internet and turning them into a season-long anthology TV show. This was a great idea as many people who read the original tales knew the cinematic potential that they had, but never thought they would get to see it. While the show does a decent job adapting them, it certainly could do better.
Channel Zero has made physical the tales of Candle Cove, No-End House, Butcher's Block and The Dream Door. The idea of using pre-established mythology means not only that the writers already have great source material, but they have a niche audience that already wants to see the project made.
While the show certainly has seen success, this concept should make its way to the big screen. Taking a famous creepypasta story and adapting it into a feature-length film would be the perfect way to capitalise on internet horror trends. They could even take it down an anthology film root which always ends up producing something spectacular.
This show does an okay job with the concept, but a movie could force it fully into the mainstream, and bring attention back to the creepypasta stories of old.
