5. The Outer Limits
The realm of science fiction horror isn't as well realised as it could be. Perhaps the blend of two already niche subjects isn't one that studios are willing to take a risk in. But, the wealth of potential in this connection is staggering and could be very well achieved if this project were to be taken to the big screen.
The show was an anthology series that told science fiction stories, with an emphasis on horror and insightful commentary. It was a colossal predecessor to a lot of great modern shows, specifically Black Mirror. Despite its prowess, it's often not as well remembered as compared to its contemporaries such as The Twilight Zone, but still has an excellent reputation.
Taking the property and converting it into a full-length film wouldn't only make something entertaining, but could have a great spot in the modern setting. The series was a tremendous hypothetical look at the future, and in a contemporary environment, there is plenty of material to address what could happen to the human race in the coming years.
We have seen The Twilight Zone create their own feature-length film - which was perfectly decent - so why not see The Outer Limits have a chance?
