Most of the time, How I Met Your Mother does a terrible job of portraying women (except for Robin). All of Barney’s conquests are apparently dumb bimbos who deserve to be humped and dumped. On top of that, Ted is relentlessly mocked for his feminine traits yet Robin gets exalted for her masculine ones.
Seriously?
Then there is Barney’s Hot/Crazy scale. That thing is unbelievably offensive, portraying women as nothing more than mentally unstable humans whose value is solely determined by their physical appearance. And that is before we even get into the crazy eyes theory.
But apparently, this is all rib-cracking humour.
