3. Mockingbird
Adrianne Palicki has done a marvelous job of bringing Bobbi Morse to life, and maybe this season will give her the chance to break out even further. At one point, Marvel had been developing a Mockingbird series (Bobbi’s superhero codename) to air on ABC Family, but plans for it were dropped.
That doesn’t have to be the end of it, though. Palicki’s portrayal of Bobbi has really brought something great to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the character has a lot of history to be explored. In the comics, not only was Mockingbird a member of the West Coast Avengers and married to Hawkeye, but prior to that, she was even a partner to Ka-Zar of the Savage Land.
A Mockingbird series could give Bobbi more room to play in the Marvel Universe. Her past with Hunter could be explored in a bit more depth. Taking a cue from the comics, a Mockingbird series could be the perfect place to introduce the Savage Land and other characters there, like Ka-Zar and Shanna the She-Devil. Mockingbird also investigated corruption at Cross Technological Enterprises, which is the company run by Corey Stoll’s Darren Cross in the upcoming Ant-Man.
Maybe Marvel could get Jeremy Renner to guest-star on some episodes and have some sparks fly between Hawkeye and Mockingbird, a potential hint of things to come…?
