5. Timmy (Rules Of Engagement)

Timmys deadpan style of humour does him many favours over the course of Rules Of Engagement, but as a character, Timmy is abused by Russell. Timmy is originally introduced to the series as an assistant for Russell, under the guise that it will help him further his career prospects. However, as the series unfolds, Timmy is often roped into menial and trivial tasks such as acting as Russell in order to speak to a psychiatrist and finding shoes that fit his particularly small feet. In a case of dramatic irony, its clear from the get go that Timmy isnt going to get very far as Russells assistant. Yet he refuses to quit his job based on Russells rare moments of decency and promises of success. Its for this reason that Timmy is particularly innocent, due to his misplaced optimism and faith in Russell.
