10 Instantly Addictive TV Show Opening Credits

8. CSI Miami - Criminal Science Gets Pumped

Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
CBS

CSI Miami probably isn't anyone's idea of a perfect TV show, full of cliches, bland characters and more deus ex machina than the entire Transformers franchise. However, every single one of you still do the CSI scream (you know exactly what I mean) every single time. The excellent use of The Who's Won't Get Fooled Again helps bring a reliable infusion of energy into the beginning of each episode.

It seems unlikely there is a human in the English speaking world that has actually followed the CSI Miami story from start to finish, but that doesn't prevent all of those people from instantly recognising the theme even after year long gaps between viewing. In the end this is one of the main jobs of an intro, to bring you back to the show after an absence.

It doesn't matter that the science of the show is absurd, that they can enhance an image of the moon taken with a Nokia at night and make out the brand of Neil Armstrong's shows, it doesn't matter at all. What matters is that however rarely you watch the show, you hear Horatio's terrible one liner and you hear Roger Daltry's trademark scream, and you know what you're in for, a reliably enjoyable if unrealistic adventure in Miami's never ending supply of murder.
