10 Irresistible TV Spin-Offs That Need To Happen

6. Nikki Heat (The mini-series)

nikki heatCastle continues to be one of my favourite shows on TV (I'm at the UK viewing stage with a handful of season 5 episodes still to go, so please don't spoil). It's a show with a cracking cast (I can't think of any weak point) and the banter between Castle and Beckett is electric. If anything I think it's got better now they are a couple, which for many shows is the death knell. (Again, please don't spoil if this isn't the case by the end of season 5). But one of the things I love most about Castle is the Nikki Heat saga. In a very clever bit of marketing, every novel Richard Castle has written on screen has been published (under the name Richard Castle of course) and we've already seen the hilarious versions of our main cast from the Nikki Heat movie. (Natalie Rhodes and the cast of 'Naked Heat' already appeared in season 3). So how about a series of TV movies / mini-series based on those novels. A kind of parody of the main show, with the 'actors' from season 3 (or new cast if required) to play these warped versions of the characters we all love and know. If they really wanted to go for it, they could have the cast of Castle playing the movie versions of the written versions of themselves. Either way, a Nikki Heat show was bring a smile to all out faces.
