10 Little Known Superhero Teams That Could Make DC Millions

2. Legion Of Super-Heroes

The Legion of Superheroes are a team that will probably ring a few bells with fans who used to watch Justice League Unlimited. The team made a brief appearance in the episode The Greatest Story Never Told, before taking on a key role in Far From Home (not Spider-Man), where Supergirl, Green Arrow and Green Lantern travel to the future, only for Kara to fall in love with Brainiac 5, a descendant of the original Brainiac who is actually a hero himself.

The team itself can usually be found in the 30th and 31st centuries, where the do battle with the group known as the 'Fatal Five'. They're pretty much the Justice League of the future, except they exist 1000 years ahead of current continuity, as opposed to the actual Justice League of the Future, who work alongside Terry McGinnis' Batman in the 2040s.

Confusing? Maybe - but the team are so interesting. Created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino, the Legion comics were home to some of the most inventive stories at DC, and quickly garnered a cult following as a result.

With appearances in animation and even their own TV show under their belt, it's high time the Legion made the jump to the big screen, after appearing briefly in the Supergirl TV show. Given the team's link to that character, hopefully it'll be a matter of when - not if - they unite on film.
