10 Little Known Superhero Teams That Could Make DC Millions
9. Secret Six
Alternatively, however, there's another team within DC's ranks that are long overdue a comeback. The Secret Six originally first appeared in 1968, but the most beloved incarnation didn't come around until 2005, when Gail Simone galvanised the group with a brand-new lineup.
The group are apparently set to appear in a TV series of their own within the next few years, but with details hard to come by since the original announcement was made, it's possible they've been put on the back-burner all over again. However, anyone who's familiar with Simone's stint on the Secret Six comic knows that it would be a grave error to bench the Secret Six all over again, with the group having outshone the Suicide Squad in the latter half of the 2000s.
Comprised of Catman, Deadshot, Ragdoll, Bane, Scandal Savage, Cheshire and several others, Secret Six offer a compelling supervillain dynamic and an even better mystery. They're similar to Task Force X in many respects, but the difference here is that they never really know who their handler (referred to under the 'Mockingbird' codename) actually is.
Used for nefarious and sometimes benevolent purposes, the Six have been DC fans' favourite dysfunctional unit for well over a decade now. It's high time they took that premise and applied it to wider media.
