5. The Forever People

The Forever People are a Jack Kirby creation and stemmed from his legendary Fourth World saga, which pitted the New Gods of Apokolips and New Genesis against each other in an eternal conflict. Ava DuVernay is currently working on a New Gods film which will apparently have Mister Miracle and Big Barda as its main leads, but if DC are looking to expand the premise further - and perhaps weave it into Supergirl's entrance to the DCEU - then the Forever People must be in consideration.

Modelled on the flower children of the 1960s, the Forever People are sent to Earth to help combat Darkseid's growing influence and do so by wielding their own Super-Cycle and with the help of Infinity-Man, who they summon through the use of Mother Box technology. In later incarnations the team would come to Earth to fight the group known as Intergang, who smuggle arms from Apokolips to Earth.

It's a winning premise that could easily sustain a spin-off, sequel or two, and with Warner Bros. at long last realising the potential that Kirby's Fourth World has, there may just be a good possibility that they'll appear on film, TV, or elsewhere in the years to come.
