9. Ros

Ros never appeared in the books, instead acting in the show as an amalgamation of various unnamed prostitutes from the series. Acting as more of an observer from the audience's perspective in Season 1, her role was fleshed out somewhat in the second season Ros' non-book origins soon became all too obvious though, and it was clear that she would never play a major part in advancing the story.

She also had barely a sliver of character development, and even her scenes with King Joffrey served only to demonstrate how much of a monster he was. By the third season, Ros becomes embroiled in the politics between the agendas of Lord Varys and Littlefinger; a mistake that few characters live to regret. Ros was no exception, after being used as a live target for Joffrey's crossbow training.
