8. Styr, The Magnar Of Thenn

The Thenns were introduced in a brutal fashion, with their pale skin, bald heads and cannibalistic ways. Despite their presentation on the show, the book Thenns are actually considered to be the most civilised of the Wildlings, with their own laws and lords. Magnar is the Thennish word for Lord, making Styr the leader of the Thenns.

You'll remember him as the especially large one that was barking orders and offering around cooked body parts. Styr died while fighting Jon Snow during the Battle of Castle Black, after taking a blow to his hairless head from a blacksmith's hammer. Unfortunately, due to their overly savage presentation, it just came across as the death of yet another throwaway baddy.
