10 Marvel Characters Who Deserve Their Own Disney+ Series
6. The Ravagers
The Ravagers appeared in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 as Yondu’s (and Taserface’s) former crew, played by a star studded cast. It was clear director James Gunn planned on bringing them into the cosmic world-building his first two Guardians movies, with Adam Warlock in the mix as well.
However, after the firing/rehiring debacle, Gunn’s plans and the Guardians in general have been pushed back.
He’s still set to return, but not until after The Suicide Squad wraps. After so long, some plot threads may go unfulfilled as Gunn now also has to react to the events surrounding Gamora and Thor in Infinity War/Endgame, as well as the fact Rocket was an Avenger for longer than he’s been a Guardian.
Not to mention the Nebula he’s inheriting is very different from distant, friendless, ruthless killer he handed over at the end of Guardians 2.
There’s a lot to consider, basically. With that in mind, a Ravagers show might not only tide Guardians fans over, it could also fill in the story gaps Guardians 3 no longer has room for. Organising Sylvester Stallone’s, Miley Cyrus’, Ving Rhames’ and Michelle Yeoh’s schedules might be a challenge, but the results would be worth it.
