3. Squirrel Girl
Look, sooner or later this is going to happen. The MCU is already home to She-Hulk, Shang Chi and Jane Foster’s Thor; all characters thought to be massive pipe dreams only a year or so ago.
They’ve proven now how prepared to take risks they are, and given her cult popularity, sooner or later Squirrel Girl is going to cash in on that.
For all the added girl power of the MCU, they are still missing the quirky, goofy ditzy character. Paul Rudd & Taika Waititi have enough comedy chops to go around, but the addition of someone like Zooey Deschanel, Alison Brie or Anna Kendrick as Squirrel Girl would really tie the whole thing together.
To fully explore Squirrel Girl though, they may have to make her non canon, as What If...? is going to be, or set in a different universe, like Loki. As for how WandaVision is going to work, that’s open to speculation too.
Considering Squirrel Girl once defeated Thanos with an extra stinky piece of garbage and Galactus by simply being nice to him, her silliness could derail some of the higher stakes stories in the MCU. They’d still be brilliant to watch though.
