10 Incredible Ways The Simpsons & Family Guy Could Cross Over

9. They Live On Completely Opposite Sides Of The Same Valley

Springfield and Quahog are clearly not the same town, but it would be interesting if the two towns have been on exact opposite sides of the same valley, and have been living oblivious to each others' existence all this time. In an extension of the bitter rivalry with nearby Shelbyville, Springfield is discovered to have an even bigger clone rival, where the residents don't have skin yellowed by power plant pollution, but like Springfield, have aspirations to be named as 'Best Small Town' at the upcoming State Fair. A war of pageantry between the two towns ensues, with each trying to outdo each other in a variety of ways. The State Fair itself descends into chaos, and an inter-town bust-up of biblical proportions takes place. Peter and Homer have a long, drawn-out "Peter versus Chicken" style fight, using all manner of weaponry. Their fight brings them to a nearby demolition site, where they each commandeer a wrecking ball vehicle, which results in an unwieldy duel. Instead of hurting each other, their wayward swinging causes damage to a nearby damn, which eventually breaks, flooding the Valley, and re-establishing the previous Springfield and Quahog sense of divide. Equilibrium is restored, and the residents of each town return home, blissfully forgetting about one another's presence.
