10 Incredible Ways The Simpsons & Family Guy Could Cross Over

8. The Griffins Live At The Bottom Of The Simpson Garden

In an attempt to make a Sea Monkey Kingdom in the image of her own family, Lisa places samples of skin and hair, procured from her relatives and fellow Springfield residents, in with a sack of Sea Monkey Eggs. Homer throws the experiment out, and it lies behind the garden compost heap. Over time the brew of Sea Monkey and Springfield DNA, develops into the miniature town of Quahog, complete with strange alternative versions of all Springfield's residents. On discovering the miniature-community Lisa enlists Professor Frink€™s help. Frink uses a shrinking ray to allow her and Homer to visit the tiny town. Once there Lisa is shocked to discover that Quahog are not the only Sea-Monkey culture, and a whole world, encompassing miniature versions of countries and cities stretches all over Springfield. This is neatly explained by Sea Monkey€™s accelerated growth rate, and would conveniently allows for the episode to stay in continuity by not contradicting any of the Family Guy stories that venture out of Quahog. When the shrink ray wears off Lisa and Homer return to normal size, Homer suggests they cash in on their microscopic discovery. Lisa disagrees and asks that they leave Quahog at peace in its own corner of the universe.
