Sunny Ozell is a talented singer/songwriter in her own right with a classical upbringing. She made her name in New York where she met Sir Patrick Stewart in 2008 during his performance of Macbeth. The pair were married in 2013 by — hold on to your hobbits — Sir Ian McKellen.

Now, take a shot for a 12 Monkeys reference, Ozell and band briefly appeared as the entertainment at 'Deacon's' bar, L.A., in the Star Trek: Picard second season episode Monsters. It was apparently Stewart who asked about the cameo in the first place, as Ozell told Entertainment Tonight:

My appearance as a bar-band singer in Patrick's show was entirely his idea, and when he first proposed it to me, I have to admit I was a bit reluctant.

Ozell was persuaded, however, when she learnt that CBS and the episode's director wanted her to perform one of the songs off her latest album, Overnight Lows. Unfortunately, the plug was pulled when Jurati/Borgati smashed a window!
