10 More Non-Superhero Comic Series That Would Make Great TV Shows

9. Whiteout

930037Genre: Police Procedural Drama What it is: Just in case you haven€™t read the two volumes of Greg Rucka and Steve Leiber€™s comics, or seen the pretty good, yet critically panned film version, Whiteout follows the exploits of Deputy US Marshall Carrie Stetko as she kicks as in the coldest place on Earth, Antarctica. Why it would be great: Even though each volume of the comic comprised of finite stories, the concept of the series could easily be turned into a weekly drama. Crime dramas are a dime a dozen, but a crime drama where the scariest antagonist is the environment? With the right team of writers that€™s money right there. Not to mention that Carrie is a great positive female role model, tough but kind, with a no BS attitude. This girl always gets her man, and not in a romantic way. The writers would definitely have to flesh out an extended cast, as the comic didn€™t really need one, but with Carrie as the lead you€™re halfway there. If done right, viewers won€™t give this series the cold shoulder the way they did the film version.

He mistakenly had purple dreadlocks once. For three years. Which made him way less cool. He doesn't actually know what the word impresario means, and is way too lazy to Google it. Carl is also an American, and for that he apologizes.
