10 More Non-Superhero Comic Series That Would Make Great TV Shows

7. Sea Of Red

1513563-sea_of_red_011_cover__2006___eclipse_dcp__superGenre: Horror What it is: Rick Remender and Kieron Dwyer€™s horror revenge tale about 16th century vampire pirates. A film crew stumbles upon a vampire who has been chained to the mast of a boat, underwater, for 400 years, and they help him track down the ones who did this to him so they can film the fight. Why it would be great: What€™s better than pirate vampires? Pirate vampires being hunted by another vampire and a film crew! Sea of red isn€™t just any old vampire pirate tale. Vampirate tale? With its man out of time elements, and revenge plot, it has plenty to make a series interesting. The characters are well developed, and all have flaws which make them human, even the inhuman ones. There are plenty of unexpected twists, and you never know who to trust or believe in. Plus, we have the film within a film sequences that really would make it stand out as something very unique on our small screen. The vampire trend is starting to die out a little bit, but Sea of Red is different enough that even those that hate vampire stories would find a lot to love. Full of great settings, with lots of action, and more than enough character moments, Sea of Red is just dying to be made!

Carl is also an American, and for that he apologizes.
