Rick has always jumped around from dimension to dimension, and has called several different universes home for different periods of time. From his original universe to Morty’s original universe, their new universe after Cronenberging the last one, and so forth. The list could go on and on.

With him hopping around so much, it would make sense that he wouldn’t have many or even any friends or even acquaintances. Birdperson was slightly different, as they travelled the multiverse together, but realistically he has moved about too much to keep any real relationships intact.

This works in theory, but Mr. Nimbus claims to be Rick’s oldest friend. This doesn’t really make sense since he only came to his new universe in recent years, so how could the master of the ocean have known Rick for so long?
