10 More Spider-Man TV Shows That Could Join Silk On Amazon Prime
5. Ben Reilly
Spidercide is definitely an intriguing possibility for one of these TV shows, but what about Ben Reilly? He's THE Spider-Man clone, and thanks to the machinations of Norman Osborn, he even believed that he was the real Peter Parker for a time.
However, after spending years in hiding after assuming he wasn't the real Spidey (which it was ultimately revealed was the truth), he dyed his hair and took on a new moniker; "Ben" for his Uncle, and "Reilly" for his Aunt May's maiden name. Adopting the mantle of the Scarlet Spider, he became an instant fan-favourite in the 90s, and battled villains like Kaine - another clone - and the Grim Hunter.
The key problem here is that to be a clone of Peter Parker's, Tom Holland would have to reprise the role for this TV series. That's highly unlikely, but could be explained away by having him be an "imperfect" clone (possibly merging Ben's story with Kaine's).
Regardless, heading down the controversial "Clone Saga" route gives Sony a huge number of Spider-Man characters to play with who all have a lot in common with the real deal.
